TWIRLS – Treating Waste for Restoring Land Sustainability is a demonstration project funded through the EU LIFE-Environment programme

Life is the financial instrument for Environment. LIFE contributes to the implementation, development and enhancement of the Community environmental policy and legislation as well as the integration of the environment into other EU policies. LIFE also supports the development of new solutions to environmental problems facing the EU.

The purpose of the LIFE-Environment programme is to bridge the gap between research and development results and their large-scale application. The most important aspect of a LIFE project is therefore Dissemination, ensuring that innovative technologies and procedures for protecting the environment are widely applied.
